The Late Shri.Mahadevappa Rampure, a Statesman, thinker, and a Politician, was a doyen educationist and a man with a vision and missionary zeal. He was an embodiment of drive and dynamism. It was initially he who was responsible for bringing literacy to the education-starved area of Hyderabad Karnataka. The year 1958 lights out like a beacon in the ocean of time because of an epoch making event which took place in that year under the able stewardship of the late Shri. Mahadevappa Rampure and that was the establishment of the Hyderabad Karnataka Education Society.
In the years to follow, he established institution after institution almost like a magician pulling out rabbits out of his hat. In the 13yrs that he was at the helm of the affairs of the Hyderabad Karnataka Education Society as President, he established educational institution in all most all the important areas of the backward region of Hyderabad Karnataka. He strove single-mindedly for the all founder progress of this area and it is basically due to his efforts that this area of Hyderabad Karnataka is today enjoying the maximum educational and academic facilities.
If today, Gulbarga is the "Mecca Of Education" of this area the credit goes solely to the Late Shri.Mahadevappa Rampure.
The seeds sown by the Late Shri.Mahadevappa have begun to sprout and the society today has begun to fulfill his dreams by taking up new and ambitious projects and plans for starting new educational institution and providing medical facilities up to the people of this region and by placing Gulbarga on the educational map of the country.
He is a man to be held in reverence. His achievements are a part of history. |
